Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren (22 January 1946 - 8th April 2010) was an English artist, impresario, self-publicist and manager of the Sex Pistols and the New York Dolls. As a solo artist, an innovative career McLaren, the introduction of hip-hop to the UK had helped. He was diagnosed with mesothelioma in October 2009, and died of the disease on 8 April 2010 in a hospital in Switzerland
